Scots SMEs Offered Tech Transfer Opportunity
Scottish SMEs can claim grants worth £5,000 to team up with a University partner and carry out technology transfer projects.
The Technology Transfer Opportunity Mechanism Awards is a scheme funded by Scottish Enterprise and the Scottish Government’s SEEKIT programme.
Small to medium-sized businesses operating in an emerging technology sector, such as software, life sciences, digital media and sustainable transport, can claim up to 75% of the costs of undertaking feasibility studies with a Scottish Higher Education Institution partner.
The programme is aimed at helping applicants establish a route to market, indentify innovative new products or processes, and secure follow-on funding.
It is targeted at SMEs operating in an emerging technology area, including:
- Software.
- Microelectronics.
- Energy.
- Life Sciences.
- Digital Media.
- Optoelectronics.
- Electronics.
- Sustainable Transport.
Applications during the current funding round must be made by 30 April.
